Construction Volunteers

As a Construction Volunteer with Berthoud Habitat for Humanity, you play a hands-on role in building safe, affordable homes for families in our community. Whether you have professional construction experience or are picking up a hammer for the first time, your efforts directly contribute to creating stable housing and brighter futures.

Time: We are flexible! We’re on site from 8 am to 2 pm (summer hours)—come in anytime within this window and stay for as long as you’re able to.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with various stages of home construction, including framing, siding, painting, and interior finishing.
  • Work alongside skilled site leaders, fellow volunteers, and future homeowners.
  • Follow safety guidelines to ensure a secure and productive worksite.
  • Learn new skills while making a meaningful impact.

What We Provide:

  • Tools, materials, and on-site training—no prior experience required!
  • A collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • The opportunity to work with homeowners as they build alongside you.
  • A chance to give back and strengthen the Berthoud community.

What Should You Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing that allows you to move around freely and adequate for current weather.
  • Water and any food you would like to eat during the shift - for snacking and/or lunch.
